Metro Pavers Inc has been acquired by Sunland Asphalt
Metro Pavers Inc. (“Metro Pavers”), the leading independent provider of asphalt paving and maintenance services in Colorado, has been acquired by Sunland Asphalt & Construction, LLC (“Sunland”), a premier asphalt paving and maintenance company serving the Southwest and Southeast. Sunland is a portfolio company of Huron Capital.
Founded in 1975, Metro Pavers has grown to become a trusted partner for local governments, municipalities, and commercial businesses, known for its high-quality asphalt paving solutions and exceptional customer service. The company’s success has been fueled by consistent demand for infrastructure development and maintenance in the Colorado market.
Founded in 1979, Sunland provides asphalt paving and maintenance services with offices in Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, and Georgia. The company offers an array of services including asphalt repairs, crack sealing, sealcoating, chip seal, pulverizing, reconstruction, paving, striping, and other ancillary services. Huron Capital, a leading middle-market private equity firm based in Detroit, partnered with Sunland in January 2021.

Metro Pavers Inc acquires Arvada based Economy Paving, adding capacity and versatility
Metro Pavers Inc (MPI), an iconic asphalt and concrete paving company, is excited to announce the acquisition of Arvada based, Economy Paving. After a 35-year legacy, Scott Hardy, Owner, was retiring so it made sense for MPI to carry the torch forward, adding capacity and versatility to their team. MPI wishes Scott a happy retirement and are grateful for the opportunity to serve his clients with the same conviction and service they have entrusted him with over the years.
MPI has been a premiere hard surface restoration company on Colorado’s front range since 1975. They are a registered MWBE/DBE SBE certified with the City of Denver, RTD and CDOT and provide customers with custom asphalt and concrete paving solutions, along with world class customer service.
